NEWMAN - A MAN FOR OUR TIME

On Thursday, 2 September, at 7.30pm, at St. Edward the Confessor Church, Chandler’s Ford, Deacon Stephen Morgan will deliver a talk on the life and teaching of Cardinal John Henry Newman.
This will be a wonderful opportunity for us all to prepare ourselves for the beatification of Cardinal Newman on 19 September, at a Mass celebrated by Pope Benedict XV1 at Cofton Park in Birmingham.
Deacon Stephen Morgan is Financial Secretary of the Diocese of Portsmouth and he is currently undertaking studies for a doctorate on Cardinal Newman. It is hoped that as many as possible from across our Pastoral Area will be able to attend.
