About Us

The company was founded in 2006 by Simon Collins and Tim Duggan who have spent the past twelve months completing the SAVA intensive training programme leading to successfully passing the Award Body for the Built Environment (ABBE) external examination to obtain a Diploma in Home Inspection.

Between them, Simon and Tim have over forty years experience in the property industry. Simon’s background is in estate agency and owning a successful firm in Waterlooville has given him a unique insight into the benefit of Home Information Packs and Home Condition Reports. In Simon’s words “there has been much misinformation and bad press about Home Information Packs and Home Condition Reports mainly from uninformed people or those who have a vested interest in avoiding change. I see both Home Information Packs and Home Condition Reports as useful marketing tools for sellers and anything which provides buyers with greater information, enabling informed offers to be made must help bring more certainty to the transaction and smoother progress to exchange of contracts”.

Tim’s experience has been on the legal side and as a Licensed Conveyancer had first hand knowledge of the problems that can arise during the conveyancing process. Tim sees the Energy Performance Certificate as a step in the right direction for both buyers and sellers. “The EPC must be of benefit to all parties. Whether you accept Global Warming or not, it is an undeniable fact that the reserves of natural gas and fossil fuels are finite and as the reserves diminish, the price will continue to rise. Whether a property is an “A” or a “G” rating may not seem so important now but with rising fuel bills and the push to conserve energy, it will become more so. The practical advice set out in the certificate detailing improvements that can be made will certainly help buyers and sellers”.

Simon is based in Waterlooville allowing easy access to Portsmouth, Fareham, Bishops Waltham and the surrounding areas whereas Tim is based in Chandlers Ford giving access to Southampton, Romsey, Winchester, Hedge End and the surrounding areas.
